HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008
Here we go again, time for another round of trade shows, meeting & greeting friends and making new ones. I hope you have all had a happy and prosperous 2007. Thank you to all those clever people that chose to give a Lynne Curan Design gift to someone this year. Once again it has been a very busy year with an incredible build up to Christmas 2007.
Central Vietnam was struck hard this year with typhoons and flooding through October & November. The World Heritage area of Hoi An where all Lynne Curan Designs are produced was badly hit with 2metre high flood waters as well as some loss of life. Although the locals are no strangers to these annual floods & typhoons the old town of Hoi an was badly affected.
Yet as always as soon as the waters abated everyone gets back to business and production is up & running. Here are a couple of images Thao sent me during the floods.
Lynne Curan Design made a small introduction into men's gifts in 2007 and the response was so great we had to expand on our men's lounge wear & gifts, ready to display at the upcoming trade shows in 2008. Along with the ever
popular silk kimono#1 for the guys we have matching silk boxer shorts & long silk lounge pants. All items are available in matching silk gift boxes of varying sizes. From a single pair of silk boxer shorts in a small silk box which can then be used to store cufflinks or nic nacs to a large silk box with matching kimono and pants. Available in SM/MED/LGE & XL in colours RED, RUM, SILVER & GOLD.
Our very popular "BABYDOLL WRAP DRESS" has been shortened so it can be worn with the relaxa pants for a great layered look for all figure types, worn here by our lovely Yevette who is due to give birth any day now. The baby doll dress will still be available in 2008 but as a long black dress only.
Look out for the new silk obi belt and one or two new designs in our small hand bag range.
